Modern Day Superman
Ed Edwards
He's a modern day Superman,
Anything you ask, he tell you he can.
If you ask him to lift a building,
He will tell you he is willing.
If you ask him to lift the sky,
He will tell you that he will try.
He never looks behind,
He knows that he's been tryin.
It doesn't matter what he has done,
He does anything. His life's so fun.
He's a modern day Superman,
He can lift a van with one hand.
He's a modern day Superman,
His tiny pinky is in demand.
Where he goes he doesn't know,
But everything he does, it ain't so slow.
He does everything as fast as he can,
He's always right, he's a real man.
He's a modern day Superman,
Anything you ask, he tell you he can,
He relies on his super mind,
And he thinks that he's just so kind.
He's a modern day Superman,
Everything you asked, he couldn't plan.
He never got anything done,
He never had any fun.
He took everything on his shoulders,
The whole world and all of its boulders,
He took the cars and the ice cream, too,
The sky, the earth, and the water so blue.
He's a modern day Superman,
He can't do anything he thinks he can.
He's a modern day Superman,
He's built to die and that's the plan.
Get it together Superman, you need a Savoir, someone who's bigger than you. (3x)
